Should I have my son do one book report or two month?

Von,

Allow your son to do as many book reports as he enjoys doing. Our Week 19 Lessons feature several book report ideas for Language Arts.

In our Week 19 Lessons, there's also a link to 180 alternatives to the traditional book report. Some of those ideas include:

- Writing a book review instead of a book report
- Acting out the characters or scenes from a book
- Rewriting the story in one's own style
- Creating a comic-book representation of the book
- Making a diorama of a scene from the book
- Making posters that advertise the book
- Writing a screenplay for turning the book into a movie.

And there's hundreds more ideas at that link, too!

Sorry about the typo. I meant to say two a month. Thanks for the advice. We just finished the book Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. I think we can have fun with that story. Thanks! Von
